The experience gave them a taste of the reality TV world, and they wanted more, said Martina, whose exuberance and bubbly personality seem like a great fit for the genre. Their 2018 stint on Amazing Race Canada was a memorable one, as they nearly cracked the top three, racing around the world against Olympians, CFL cheerleaders, cops, members of the military, and more. It’s a return to the spotlight for Phil and Martina, North Vancouver natives who both went to Plymouth Elementary, Carson Graham Secondary and the University of British Columbia.
“There was a lot of screaming and jumping, let’s just put it that way,” she said with a laugh.
